Background
Estimates of the global development of the aquaculture industry indicate that this sector is going to be one of the fastest growing food industries in the world, in the coming decades.
Denmark is one of the leading countries in this field and has excellent traditions for cooperation between the industry, development-research and educational institutions.
Our history
Danish Fishfarms Development ApS (DFD), is an independent 100% Danish owned company, operating worldwide within the aquaculture industry.
Our staff as well as the staff of our associated companies, has many years of practical experience in development and implementation of projects, as well as managing operation.
Our aquaculture in-house experience goes back to 1988, and we were among the first to develop the modern super intensive and sustainable tropical fish farming.

We seriously believe that quality management is a main key to the market place of the future, and it is essential to DFD, that the management of the fish farming complex shows a genuine attitude toward Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in their strive to create a better and more environmental friendly and sustainable local society.
Furthermore, our group of companies have since 1988 made 12 full scale Feasibility Studies and 9 Development Studies. We have also developed a project concept for an educational fish farm Academy, for the purpose of developing a modern, sustainable and efficient aquaculture industry in developing countries.
